About the role:

This is a great opportunity for you to showcase your passion for retail, commercial acumen, leadership capability and customer centricity in this Store Manager role.

What you’ll do:

  • Build strong relationships with local customers/suppliers, the store team and fellow colleagues
  • Bring your passion/expertise for food and retail into play on a daily basis, delivering the highest standards and inspiring your team to deliver a 'best store in town' experience for your customers
  • Ensuring all departments are complying with all relevant Company policies, procedures and Health and Food Safety legislation to ensure the health and safety of customers and Team Members in the Store
  • Deliver consistently high standards of customer service, providing customers with a “best in class” shopping experience
  • Showcase your great communication and people skills, developing a highly capable, happy store team who are proud to be a part of a store that's recognised for making a positive contribution to your local community
  • Always lead by example -  your energetic, collaborative, inclusive approach will make you a standout candidate for future leadership opportunities
  • Have full ownership of financial, people, customer and operational objectives, you'll be supported and empowered to succeed

What you’ll bring:

  • Previous retail management experience in a fast paced, customer focused environment - grocery experience would be advantageous
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and developing a team including recruitment, training and performance management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build effective relationships
  • Experience in managing costs and profits, rosters, wages and sales budgets
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Ability to take accountability
  • Experience administering Company Policy and Procedures and operating under an Enterprise Agreement
