Payroll Officer

About the Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join our Payroll team, supporting Total Tools joint venture stores. You’ll ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll while providing excellent support to our stakeholders from the stores.
In this role, you will:
• Process weekly and fortnightly payroll across multiple entities using Tanda and Pronto
• Interpret awards, agreements, and contracts to ensure accurate pay conditions
• Maintain employee records and process payroll adjustments including leave, overtime, and terminations
• Ensure compliance with Fair Work, ATO, superannuation, and payroll tax requirements
• Support store managers and employees with payroll queries and guidance
• Contribute to audits, reporting, and improvements in payroll processes and documentation
What are we looking for?
• Experience in end-to-end payroll processing (multi-site or retail advantageous)
• Proficiency with payroll systems, ideally Tanda and Pronto
• Strong understanding of modern awards, enterprise agreements, and compliance requirements
• High accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and customer service skills when supporting stakeholders
• A proactive, organised team player who identifies improvements and manages competing priorities effectively
