Store Fit Out Manager

About the Opportunity
We’re looking for a Store Fit Out Manager to join our Store Development team, playing a key role in delivering new store builds and relocations across our Total Tools network.
This is a hands‑on, end‑to‑end role where you’ll take ownership of planning, coordinating and delivering retail fit‑outs, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, on budget and to brand standards.
You’ll work closely with internal teams, franchisees and external partners, and will be on the road regularly, seeing your projects come to life from concept through to handover. Ideal candidate will be comfortable travelling nationally, including spending 3 – 4 weeks away from home a few times each year.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing the planning and delivery of new store builds and store relocations
- Coordinating fit‑out projects to meet timelines, budgets and compliance requirements
- Partnering with franchisees to guide them through the fit‑out process
- Liaising with suppliers, trades and contractors to lock in best‑practice outcomes
- Ensuring WH&S, BCA and all regulatory requirements are met across every site
- Conducting site visits to assess suitability and oversee progress
- Managing budgets, reporting and project documentation through to final handover
You’re likely a match if you have
- Solid experience managing retail fit‑outs or construction projects, ideally in big‑box or large‑format retail
- Strong understanding of shop fit‑out, joinery and construction processes
- Knowledge of WH&S, BCA and local, state and federal compliance requirements
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders at once
- Confident communication skills and a practical, solutions‑focused mindset
- High attention to detail, strong organisation and the ability to work autonomously
- Flexibility to travel interstate as required
