Our Food Service and Convenience business encompasses our wholesale, foodservices and distribution services across the Campbells Wholesale, Superior Food Services, and Independent Grocers brands – servicing small to medium businesses right across Australia. Joining the Food Service and Convenience business at Metcash means the work you do contributes to brands with real purpose, empowering independent businesses and strengthening local communities across Australia.

About the Opportunity

As Tele Sales, you will be part of our Independent Grocers (Metcash) in Alice springs. This role will report to the Customer Service Supervisor and will play a key role in supporting our customers and helping grow our business. Independent Grocers supply town and remote communities with a wide variety of essential food supplies. This is a permanent full-time role, Monday to Friday with 38 hours per week. The shift is 8:00am-4:00pm.

In this Role

• Your day-to-day will include answering inbound calls and assisting customers with orders
• Keying in orders accurately and efficiently
• Making outbound calls to new and existing customers
• Promoting products and upselling where appropriate
• Providing outstanding customer service with every interaction

You’re Likely a Match If

• You have strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Confidence in selling and engaging over the phone
• Experience with Microsoft applications
• A positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment
