We are looking for a friendly and customer-focused individual to join our team as the Assistant Store Manager. You will assist in facilitating maximum performance and achieve sales and profit targets through effective customer liaison and operating standards while maintaining Mitre 10’s image is protected by delivering excellent customer service and leading a team.

 

About the role

  • Lead and oversee daily store operations.

  • Excellence in customer service

  • Ensure best practice with company SHE and national & state legislation.

  • Achieve sales & profit budgets.

  • Manage all controllable cost centres and budgets within specific targets.

  • Promote a team culture which encourages a positive working environment and maintains Mitre 10's and Sapphire Hardware’s values.

  • Encourage and promote continuous development and career progression through training and mentoring.

 

Skills and experience

  • Experience in the Hardware industry desirable, especially a Hardware / Retail business

  • High level leadership, supervisory and motivational skills

  • Ability to achieve sales targets for self and team via KPI’S

  • Sound knowledge of retail requirements; POS, inventory management, financials and retail merchandising.

  • Good communication skills (both written and verbal).

  • Strong customer focus.
