About the Opportunity
We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Allied Liquor team in Auckland on a full-time basis.
In this exciting role, you’ll play a pivotal part in driving the growth of our on-premise liquor business across Auckland.
You’ll build lasting relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders—all while driving profitability and growth for both Allied and our partners.
In this Role
- Growing and managing a profitable on-premise customer base across Auckland.
- Developing strategic plans to meet sales targets and budget expectations.
- Strengthening existing customer relationships while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
- Maintaining a consistent and efficient call cycle across your customer base.
- Collaborating with suppliers to create mutually beneficial strategies and promotional opportunities.
- Providing valuable sales and market insights to support Allied’s planning and budgeting processes.
- Engaging cross-functionally with credit, delivery, marketing, and trading teams to deliver excellent service.
You’re Likely a Match If
- 3+ years of Account Management or Business Development experience—ideally in liquor, hospitality, or service industries.
- Strong commercial acumen and a proven ability to negotiate and present compelling proposals.
- High emotional intelligence and strong relationship-building skills.
- A customer-focused mindset with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive loyalty.
- Self-motivation and initiative to thrive in an autonomous role.
- Strong communication, planning, and reporting skills.
- Tech-savviness with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with ERP systems is a bonus (training provided).
