About the Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity to join Metcash as a Retail Operations Manager located in Auckland. The Retail Operations Manager will lead the Allied Retail Group (ARG) operations aligning with the Merchandise & Marketing team and retailer members to develop an industry leading retail program and support model to drive the growth of the ARG network within NZ. You will foster strong relationships with key trade and non-trade suppliers, developing retail initiatives and executing agreed strategies. Drive technological retail solutions and developments which set the ARG up for future omni channel success
In this Role
- Develop and execute a growth plan target to create comprehensive national coverage of retail stores
- Develop strategies to retain and grow the ARG retail network
- Oversee the roll-out of ARG Loyalty and e-Comm Programs
- Management of the Store Development Budget
- Lead the ARG operations team to ensure a strong, results orientated team culture
- Engage with retail committees and the broader membership, to build rapport across the ARG business, with the objective of strengthening the partnership with the ARG retail network.
You’re Likely a Match If
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Previous project and people management experience
- Lead and influence at senior levels
- Strong selling, influencing and negotiation skills
- Exceptional communication skills
- Strong commercial acumen
- Intermediate MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
