Front Counter / Shed & Steel Sales

The Role

An exciting full-time opportunity is available for an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual to join our K&B Murray Bridge team. 

Working Monday to Friday, this varied role combines front counter sales with customer account management, making it ideal for someone who enjoys building strong customer relationships and delivering great service.

Reporting to the Site Manager and Site Supervisor, you will support our retail and trade customers through face-to-face interactions, phone enquiries and email communications. You'll assist customers with product enquiries and sales across our shed and steel range, while contributing to the ongoing growth of the business.

This role offers variety, autonomy and the opportunity to build long-term relationships with customers across the building and construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide front counter, phone and email support, assisting customers with product selection and sales.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customer accounts.
• Prepare quotations, tenders and sales documentation.
• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Coordinate stock enquiries and support day-to-day office administration.
• Achieve agreed sales targets and identify opportunities to grow customer accounts.
• Work collaboratively with the wider team to deliver great customer outcomes.

About You

You are a motivated, reliable and customer-focused individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in building strong customer relationships.

Ideally, you will bring:

• Previous experience in front counter, retail or trade sales.
• Experience in customer account management or business development (desirable).
• Exposure to timber, steel, hardware or building supplies (advantageous but not essential).
• Strong communication, relationship-building and customer service skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to identify sales opportunities.
• Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• The ability to work independently while contributing to a close-knit team.
