About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Key Account Manager to join the Supermarkets business Pillar of Metcash. This is a 12 month Fixed term contract and will be based out of Canningvale, Western Australia.

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager within the Food and Grocery line to support our key IGA Multi site operations. Your role will be to deliver and actively grow the total number of customers purchasing of all products by continually promoting a serviced total supply solution. This is a 12 month Fixed term contract.

What You’ll do:

With your prior experience in  senior strategic sales within Food and Grocery you will be confident with the following duties:

  • Grow relationships with Strategic insight and linkage between MSO’s / large customers and Metcash
  • Identify and drive key growth plans that have real value for both Metcash and key accounts using both short and long term strategies
  • Account Manage 3-5  large MSO’s, with wholesale sales value to Metcash between $120-$150M
  • Work closely with Retail Operations, Creditors, Project Management, Merchandise, Marketing and Customer Service Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution
  • Conduct regular range reviews with key accounts to ensure the correct category ranges are in place

 

What You’ll bring:

  • Minimum 5 years of strategic sales experience in a business-to-business sales environment
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience with the FMCG or related industry ideally with extensive Independent Retailer engagement
  • Business / Commercial related degree or higher from an accredited institution (preferred not essential
  • Position may require extensive travel
