Australian Liquor Marketers (ALM) is the Liquor wholesale division of Metcash. We are the largest wide range wholesaler to the independent liquor trade. About the Opportunity
We’re looking for a driven and customer-focused On-Premise Business Development Manager to grow ALM account numbers and brand presence across Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, and Toowoomba. This role is ideal for someone who genuinely cares about helping their customers succeed. The role involves some travel across the territory, with a maximum of 2–3 overnight stays per month (can be less depending on carefully planned day trips). We’re open to candidates from a range of backgrounds — whether you’re experienced in liquor sales or bring transferable skills and a customer-first mindset, we’d love to hear from you!
In this Role
- Grow sales by outlet and drive supplier sales through ALM warehouses
- Expand the customer base by converting non-ALM accounts
- Manage and grow On-Premise store numbers
- Maintain a structured call cycle and territory plan using SIF
- Build and manage key and national accounts
- Resolve customer issues promptly and implement preventative processes
- Deliver market intelligence and maintain accurate sales records
- Promote ALM initiatives and execute state promotions in-store
You’re Likely a Match If
- Passion or strong interest in the liquor industry
- Experience working in a sales/customer facing role
- Thrive in a fast-paced, autonomous role with a collaborative team spirit
- Are confident managing a large territory and building strong customer relationships
- Organised, and detail oriented
