About the Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity to join Metcash as a Credit Officer on a full-time basis located in Crestmead, Queensland. The Credit Officer will be responsible for effectively and efficiently administering credit department activity to ensure ALM cash flow is maximized; ALM’s credit risk is minimized, and customer service is enhanced.
In this Role
- Oversee high-volume collection efforts for ALM clientele, ensuring efficient risk management and negotiating payment terms to align with both business and customer expectations.
- Maintain credit limits and trading terms while managing weekly reporting and payment allocations.
- Coordinate order pool management, ensuring timely release of orders to meet logistical deadlines.
- Resolve disputes effectively and cultivate strong customer relations through proactive communication and problem-solving.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders within a large, national team to achieve collective objectives.

- Proficient in administrative tasks and customer service, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction.
- Strong time management abilities, adept at prioritizing tasks efficiently.

- Experienced in a similar role, adept at building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and negotiating favourable business outcomes within a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
