About the Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity to join Metcash as a Fresh Sales Coordinator.   The Fresh Sales Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the sales and operational functions of the Fresh Food category. This role is responsible for coordinating promotional activities, managing supplier relationships, maintenance of coded stock and ensuring the smooth execution of sales strategies across stores

In this Role 

• Coordinate and execute weekly and seasonal promotional programs for fresh food categories.
• Maintain stock coding to ensure profitability and freshness of product to our valued customers
• Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and execution of promotional/new line plans.
• Liaise with State Deli/Bakery Buyer to ensure timely delivery and execution of all plans.
• Monitor sales performance and provide insights and reports to the Fresh Sales Manager.
• Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to drive sales and profitability.
• Maintain accurate records of pricing, promotions, and coded stock

You’re Likely a Match If

• Previous experience in a sales coordination or merchandising role, preferably in fresh food or FMCG.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to work collaboratively as a team player, across departments and with external suppliers.
• Thrive in a customer-focused environment, showing initiative and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Bring strong attention to detail, time management, and analytical thinking to deliver high-quality results.
• Demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills in a customer-focused environment, with clear and effective communication.
