About the Opportunity 

We have an exciting opportunity to join Metcash as a Logistics Specialist to partner with site leadership and operational teams to drive value generation through helping to identify and drive improvement opportunities, implement best practice, process consistency and maintain core Engineered Standards. This role will lead all site activities for the deployment of continuous improvement projects activities and tools. Managing operational process audits and leading process improvement initiatives in order to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. This role will also act as the on-site Warehouse Management System (WMS) subject matter expert.

In this Role 

• Lead Site initiatives that generate value, reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Maintain the Site core Engineered Standards activities, audits and reports.
• Site subject matter expert for the Engineered Standards and Warehouse Management System. 
• Lead and facilitate process improvement-based working groups to drive ideas and solutions for the site.
• Primary Link between State and National Teams for improvement initiatives.
• Project manage the implementation and execution of process changes within the Warehouse.

You’re Likely a Match If

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Business (preferred)
• 5+ years previous experience in logistics management or coordination
• Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Well-developed motivational and leadership skills
• Experience in fast moving warehousing logistics environment
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
