About the Opportunity

At Metcash, we’re backing independent businesses to thrive. We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of new store developments, refurbishments, and fit-outs across our retail network. From concept to store opening, you'll partner with retailers, builders, designers, and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality projects that make a real impact in local communities.

In this Role

• Lead end-to-end retail development projects, including new store openings, refurbishments, and fit-outs
• Manage project budgets, timelines, tender processes, and contractor performance
• Coordinate architects, builders, landlords, retailers, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Develop project scopes, review plans, and oversee construction through to completion
• Support equipment procurement and drive engagement with Metcash's endorsed suppliers and services
• Ensure stores are fully operational and ready for launch, including layouts, equipment, signage, and stock readiness

You’re Likely a Match If

• Significant project management experience within retail, FMCG, construction, fit-out, or refurbishment environments
• Strong knowledge of building regulations, construction processes, and project delivery methodologies.
• Ability to interpret plans and technical drawings
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
• Proven experience managing multiple projects, budgets, and timelines simultaneously
• A collaborative, solutions-focused approach with a passion for delivering results
