About the Opportunity
As the SHE Manager, QLD – Food & Liquor, you’ll lead the Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) function supporting our Food & Liquor business pillar across Queensland. You’ll drive a positive SHE culture, robust governance, compliance, and improved performance in our offices, distribution centres, warehouses, and retail stores. This role is pivotal in executing and continuously improving SHE strategy, management systems, and stakeholder engagement.
 
In This Role, You Will:
•    Guide and coach QLD Food & Liquor site leaders to implement SHE strategies and initiatives.
•    Maintain and improve SHE Management System documentation and site-specific plans.
•    Conduct and support SHE compliance audits, driving continuous improvement.
•    Facilitate risk assessments and promote proactive risk reduction activities.
•    Oversee incident and injury management, ensuring robust investigations and sharing learnings.
•    Collaborate on emergency response planning and injury management for sites.
•    Support SHE due diligence for acquisitions and alignment of new businesses.
•    Build strong relationships with leadership teams, influencing SHE culture and performance.
 
You’re Likely a Match If You Have:
•    Proven ability to build capability and safety leadership with line management.
•    Tertiary qualifications in SHE or a related discipline (legal/sciences).
•    Strong understanding of Australian and New Zealand SHE legislation.
•    ICAM investigation training/certification.
•    Experience in warehouse or retail environments.
•    Minimum 5 years’ experience in a SHE support role.
•    Excellent relationship-building, communication, and analytical skills.
•    Pragmatic, collaborative, and proactive personal style
