About the Opportunity

Lead a high-performing credit team and help shape the future of independent retail with Metcash. As part of our Australian Liquor Marketers (ALM) business, you’ll play a key role in supporting our partners and customers across the country. We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Team Leader to join our Finance team based in Crestmead, QLD on a 12-month fixed term contract. Reporting to the Commercial Credit Manager, you’ll lead a team of Credit professionals to deliver exceptional service and results.

In this Role

• Overseeing daily credit operations and workflow management
• Leading and coaching a team of Credit Officers and Support staff
• Conducting monthly debtor ledger and credit limit reviews
• Managing escalated queries and resolving issues within delegation
• Driving process improvements and automation initiatives
• Preparing ad hoc reports and supporting the Commercial Credit Manager
• Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Fostering a customer-first, collaborative team culture  

You’re Likely a Match If

• 3–5+ years of credit leadership experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Strong communication, interpersonal and coaching skills
• Proven problem-solving and negotiation abilities
• Intermediate MS Excel and Office skills
• A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
