About the Opportunity 

At Metcash, we’re excited to announce that we will be hiring Storeworkers / Pick Packer to join our Eagle Farm site on a casual position with a view to permanency in the future!

As a Storeworker / Pick Packer, you will play a key role in managing stock efficiently and supporting our operations. The casual position will focus on organising stock, picking orders, and ensuring smooth operations for the best possible customer experience. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, have great attention to detail, and be committed to providing high-quality products and exceptional customer service. In this Role 

  • Unload and inspect incoming shipments, ensuring items are stored in the correct
  • locations using the Zippy and manual handling
  • Assist with stock organisation and maintain accurate inventory records. Ensure stock
  • is easily accessible and properly stored to optimise space and flow
  • Assist with picking orders, ensuring the correct items are selected, and prepare them
  • for dispatch or customer pickup
  • Provide general support to the store team, including helping customers when needed,
  • and organising tasks in the warehouse and on the sales floor
  • Assist in performing regular stock checks and audits, ensuring inventory levels are
  • accurately recorded
  • Responsible for calling customers regarding their orders

 

What are we looking for 

  • Experience in Warehouse or Retail: Previous experience in a store or warehouse
  • environment is preferred
  • A strong customer service background
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with the store team
  • A keen eye for detail and commitment to accuracy in all tasks
  • Be available to start at 4am
  • Must have full work rights
  • Must be available for an on-site, in person interview
