About the Opportunity

As a Retail Standards Specialist, you’ll champion quality, compliance, and operational excellence across the state. You’ll be the key link between national programs and store-level execution, helping retailers meet Metcash Channel Standards, Operational Excellence Programs (OEP), and Food Safety Audit (FSA) requirements.

 

In this Role

• Conduct in-store reviews to assess compliance with Channel Standards, OEP, and FSA
• Provide coaching and training to uplift retailer capability and compliance
• Support stores in adopting compliance systems like REFFS
• Collaborate with Account Managers and Retail Excellence Manager to identify and address systemic risks
• Manage store closures and de-banners as needed
• Coordinate retailer participation in events and programs
• Ensure catalogue standards are met (distribution, ticketing, stock)
• Capture store-level insights to support planning and continuous improvement

• You have experience in retail, grocery, or foodservice operations
• You’re familiar with compliance, auditing, or operational standards
• You understand food safety frameworks and channel standards
• You’re detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• You’re a confident communicator and coach
