About the Opportunity
We have an exciting full-time, permanent opportunity for an Advertising & Promotions Manager for our Thirsty Camel brand. As the Advertising & Promotions Manager, you will play a key role in embedding category strategy by developing and delivering shopper-led programs. You’ll negotiate competitive deals with suppliers to ensure a compelling value proposition and promotional schedule that meets retailer margin expectations. This position will ideally be based in our Gepps Cross office in South Australia, but we are also open to candidates for our Crestmead office in Queensland, and Macquarie Park office in Sydney. The successful candidate will be required to travel interstate once every 1-2 months.
In this Role
- Develop and implement strategic plans for liquor categories (beer, cider, wine) aligned with IBA’s retail objectives with support of the IBA Category team
- Analyse market trends, consumer insights, and competitor activity to inform category decisions.
- Embed category strategy by building programs that are aligned to the strategic priorities of the channel.
- Work collaboratively with Liquor Alliance, aligning promotional and advertising activities with the Thirsty Camel category strategy and marketing plans, ensuring cohesive execution and supporting strategic objectives.
- Own and manage supplier relationships (for selected suppliers) including the supplier profitability to our network (retail) by channel, mutually aligned and agreed JBP’s,
- Negotiate with suppliers for the best commercial outcome for Retailers.
You’re Likely a Match If
- FMCG experience and liquor experience highly regarded.
- Previous experience in buying or selling capacity experience
- Exposure to category management
- Experience in negotiating with external parties
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with both internal/external stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and work towards multiple deadlines.
