About the Opportunity
As the Retail Supply Manager, you’ll lead a dynamic team focused on driving profitable sales to retailers through strategic execution of customer-driven volume initiatives. You’ll be the key liaison between Metcash, suppliers, and retailers, ensuring efficient inbound supply chain operations and strong stakeholder relationships.
In this Role
• Lead execution of customer-driven volume including trade shows, supplier orders, and allocations
• Manage strategic customer relationships and resolve availability queries
• Represent Metcash Supply in forums and state boards
• Collaborate with local merchandise teams to exceed state KPIs
• Drive clearance plans and manage aged stock with internal and external stakeholders
• Align supplier constraints with DC capabilities for optimal inbound flow
• Coordinate and execute state buys in partnership with Buying and Supply teams
• Manage orders for state-based suppliers with close buyer interaction
You’re Likely a Match If
• Experience in FMCG, wholesale or retail supply chain environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for inventory management
• Excellent influencing and negotiation skills across all levels
• Professional communication and stakeholder management abilities
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• A driven, results-focused mindset with team collaboration skills
• Agility and adaptability to respond to changing priorities
