About the Opportunity 


To support Safety Health and Environmental (SHE) initiatives, risk reduction and incident response across the IHG SA businesses ensuring consistency with the Metcash SHE Management System, SHE Strategy, best practice, and applicable legislative requirements.

 

In this Role 


•    Assist site leaders with strategy implementation, improve SHE compliance frameworks, and coach site leaders on safety, health, and environmental matters.
•    Review and update the Site Risk Register, develop risk reduction initiatives, and support hazard reporting and management processes.
•    Promote early incident notification, manage SHE communication, and engage with team members through training and meetings.
•    Ensure effective communication with leadership teams, HSRs, and staff to implement safety activities and SHE programs.
•    Ensure timely data entry into Evotix, monitor SHE documentation, and track compliance trends through leading indicators and audits.
•    Conduct audits, inspections, and share relevant safety information across sites, supporting continuous improvement and injury management projects.

 

You’re Likely a Match If 


•    Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Safety, Health and Environment support role.
•    Certificate IV or tertiary qualification in WHS
•    ICAM Investigation
•    Sound understanding of a warehouse/retail environment
•    High attention to detail and time management skills
•    Strong organisational & time management skills
•    Excellent communication skills
•    Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (desirable)
