About the role

We currently have three vacancies for 3 month Fixed term contracts within our AP team. The Accounts Payable Clerk role manages the end-to-end accounts payable processes for Independent Hardware Group for a set group of suppliers. The successful candidate will be an individual with a high quality approach


What You Will Do

  • Manage supplier relationships
  • Attend and resolve supplier calls and account enquiries

  • Process 3 way match Purchase Order invoice matching

  • Process chargeback invoices
  • Perform supplier account reconciliation (intermediate excel skill is a must)

  • Ensure agreed supplier payment terms are respected

  • Prepare and process scheduled payment run (twice weekly, mid-month, EOM) or as required by management

  • Run scheduled reports (phone tracking, Vendor GRNI balance and other report as required by management) and review prior to distribution

  • Publish remittance advice
  • Liaise with external and internal audit teams to facilitate the completion of annual audit programs

  • Work collaboratively and manage stakeholders relevant to the above processes

  • Other duties as required by AP Coordinator and AP Manager


What You Will Bring

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the same role


  • Detailed knowledge of AP processes (includes 3 way match) and procedures
  • Retail/wholesale industry experience is a must

  • Experience working in a large and complex organisation with high volume data is desirable

  • Experience in Microsoft AX preferred

  • Intermediate Excel skills (vlookup, pivot table, sorting and filtering when performing supplier account reconciliation)

  • Ability to work under pressure and thrive in a challenging and changing environment

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
