Search is evolving rapidly, but rankings and visibility still matter. We’re increasing investment in our eCommerce offerings and are looking for a Content Optimisation Specialist to join us in this newly created role, where you’ll gain deep, practical experience in content optimisation and search performance. 

 

This is a hands‑on, operational role where you’ll take ownership of optimising website content across Mitre 10 and Home Hardware, from keywords research and analytics through to writing SEO/AEO product descriptions and engaging blog content. You’ll play a key role in driving organic growth across both traditional search engines and emerging AI-driven platforms.  

 

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Analysing customer search behaviour using enterprise SEO tools and translating insights into high‑performing content  

  • Leading keyword research strategies across SEO, GEO and emerging AEO optimisation  

  • Identifying gaps and opportunities across category pages, product detail pages and editorial content  

  • Writing and refining content (including blog posts), leveraging AI tools where appropriate  

  • Improving site structure, internal linking, page hierarchy and content discoverability  

  • Monitoring and reporting on keyword performance, trends and content impact  

  • Working closely with the Social Media team and broader Marketing teams to ensure content can be effectively repurposed  

  

 

You’re Likely a Match If You have:

  • Hands‑on experience in SEO or eCommerce content optimisation  

  • A genuine passion for content optimisation, with an appetite to learn, experiment and grow your career in SEO within a hands-on environment 

  • A strong conceptual understanding of where SEO has been, and where it’s heading, including AI‑driven search  

  • Experience using enterprise SEO tools such as BrightEdge, SEMrush, Ahrefs or Screaming Frog  

  • Exposure to eCommerce platforms such as Adobe Commerce, Magento or Shopify  

  • Confidence working with CMS platforms and website analytics tools  

  • Strong writing and analytical skills, with the ability to turn data into clear recommendations and action  

  • Curiosity, commercial thinking, and a genuine interest in how customers search and engage online
