About the Opportunity
As Group Manager SHE Systems and Governance, you will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of SHE management systems and governance frameworks across Metcash. This role ensures compliance with legislation, drives best practice, and supports a strong safety culture through effective systems and reporting.

This role can be based at either Macquaire Park or Huntingwood offices (Sydney) or Heatherton (Melbourne). 

In This Role, You Will:
•    Develop and maintain SHE management systems and governance frameworks.
•    Ensure compliance with relevant SHE legislation and standards.
•    Lead audits and assurance programs to monitor SHE performance.
•    Provide expert advice on SHE governance and risk management.
•    Drive continuous improvement initiatives across SHE systems.
•    Collaborate with stakeholders to embed SHE governance in operations.
•    Prepare and present SHE performance reports to senior leadership.
•    Support cultural change initiatives to strengthen SHE accountability.

You’re Likely a Match If You Have:
•    Tertiary qualifications in SHE or related discipline.
•    Extensive experience in SHE systems and governance roles.
•    Strong knowledge of SHE legislation and compliance requirements.
•    Proven ability to lead audits and assurance programs.
•    Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
•    Experience driving cultural change and continuous improvement.
•    Analytical mindset with strong reporting and presentation skills.
•    Minimum 8+ years in SHE leadership roles.
