We are seeking a seasoned Inventory Optimisation Analyst to join our high-performing Commercial team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a commercially astute professional who excels at transforming complex data into actionable strategies that enhance inventory performance, improve cash flow, and support retail growth.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the optimisation of inventory levels across a diverse national network, balancing stock availability with capital efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards and reporting tools to provide clear, actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with Retail Managers, Finance, and Operations teams to translate data analysis into practical business improvements.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through in-depth data analysis, recommending strategies to mitigate shrinkage, obsolescence, and excess stock.
  • Support stocktake processes and contribute to strengthening inventory controls.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives to refine processes, enhance controls, and elevate reporting standards.

 

About You

  • Extensive experience in inventory management, optimisation, ageing, obsolescence, and shrink control within retail, wholesale, or complex supply chain environments.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities with strong proficiency in Excel and Power BI.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen with a proven ability to uncover and realise business value through data-driven insights.
  • Experience contributing to process improvements or transformational projects is highly desirable.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, accounting, or a related field would be advantageous.
  • Exceptional attention to detail combined with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach with a reputation for integrity, accountability, and clear communication.
  • Innovative thinker who challenges conventional approaches and embraces continuous improvement.
