And now, we're looking for a Product & Price Manager who’s as strategic as they are community-minded – someone who gets the nuts and bolts of pricing, product, and people. 

About the opportunity 

This is no ordinary pricing role. As our Product & Price Manager, you'll sit at the critical intersection of product assortment, pricing strategy, and profitability – helping to define what we offer, how we offer it, and at what price. The goal? Ensure our members are equipped to win, while delivering strong commercial outcomes for IHG. 

You’ll be the mastermind behind a Shopper Led Range Strategy that’s both responsive to market trends and rooted in local community needs – making sure our stores remain competitive, relevant, and loved by locals. 

Let's Talk About you 

  • Own and execute the Shopper Led Range strategy in collaboration with Category Managers, Marketing, Store Development and Store Owners 

  • Lead product lifecycle management – from introduction to retirement 

  • Align product offerings with customer needs, sales performance, and market trends 

  • Design smart, dynamic pricing models that support retail competitiveness and member profitability 

  • Analyse supplier pricing, margin mix, and cost models to maximize value 

  • Translate data analytics including sales trends, market benchmarks, and consumer behaviour to refine product mixes, enhance pricing decisions, and forecast outcomes 

  • Serve as the key voice connecting supplier input, internal strategy, and member execution 

  • Drive alignment across teams to bring integrated solutions to life 

  • Lead and mentor a small but mighty team, supporting their growth and capability 

  • Promote a performance culture rooted in accountability, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration 

  • Ensure pricing strategies comply with all relevant regulations 

  • Identify risks in pricing and product strategy and put in place plans to mitigate them 

 

You’re Likely a Match If You have 

Must-Haves: 

  • A proven track record in product and pricing management, ideally in Hardware, FMCG, or similar 

  • Exceptional analytical ability, with a commercial mindset that connects data to real-world results 

  • Strong stakeholder management skills – you’re just as comfortable in the warehouse as you are in the boardroom 

  • Experience leading teams and working across functions in a complex, matrixed organisation 

  • Solid knowledge of Australian market trends, product lifecycle management, and supply chain dynamics 

Nice-to-Haves: 

  • Experience working internationally in a similar role 

  • Familiarity with Metcash systems and processes 

  • A background in change or project management
