About the role:

 

This is a varied role where no two days will be the same.  You will be interacting with all areas of the business and have two direct staff reporting into you.  This role will be responsible for overseeing the Customer Service Operation for Metcash Food & Grocery as well as increasing customer satisfaction through prompt resolution and Accounts payable

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Ensure Customer service issues and enquiries are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Process claims and orders accurately.
  • Arrange and Reschedule Customer deliveries as required.
  • Process reports, manual orders & credits
  • Follow all processes, procedures, and claims investigations in-line with Metcash Food & Grocery Standards.
  • General Administration duties as set out by State manger
  • Demonstrate the importance of customers by giving their needs top priority
  • Build rapport and develop cooperative relationships with customers
  • Seek information to understand customers’ needs and expectations
  • Follow up problems and concerns to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Identify opportunities to support communities
  • Ability to work as a fully integrated team member and deliver on staff support.
  • Ensure all parties are communicated with in a timely manner
  • Provision for assistance to other team members
  • Manager fresh customer service team, rostering
  • Ensure all aspects of Accounts Payable are running on time
  • End of month reports and weekly reports are completed on time
  • Raise POs when required
  • Working with Buying team and Warehouse to ensure smooth running of the office functions

 

What you’ll bring:

 

  • Excellent PC skills – including Microsoft office/ excel
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Excellent data entry skills, including attention to detail
  • Strong Negotiation skills
  • Previous experience within Office Management, Account Payable and Customer Service
  • Previous experience within a warehouse environment advantageous
  • Logistics experience preferred but not essential
  • Leading team minimum two years’ experience
  • Demonstrated people management
