About the Opportunity
Exciting new opportunity to lead initiatives to ensure a robust SHE risk management framework for our business, that complies with applicable State and Territory Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) Legislation. The role will drive tangible risk control and reduction activities leading to improved safety outcomes.
We are seeking a collaborative, team player with strong attention to detail and a pragmatic approach to safety, health, and environment risk management.
In this Role
• Oversee development and maintenance of the components of the Metcash Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) Management System aligned to ISO Standard 31000, ANZ legislative requirements, Codes of Practice and Metcash’s Critical Risks.
• Oversee development and maintenance of the Metcash SHE Risk Profile and ‘Top 11 Critical Risk’ Risk Mitigation Action Plans and the Critical Risk Review process
• Contribute to training and awareness material that embeds risk management components
• Oversee the SHE risk management tools and functionality of the Metcash SHE software platform ‘Evotix’
• Develop risk reduction strategies to improve safety outcomes and reduce both SHE incidents and injuries.
• Collaborate with the Metcash Governance Risk and Compliance Team to align on both GRC and SHE risk management frameworks.
• Assist with other identified initiatives that support ongoing continuous improvement in SHE compliance and governance.
You’re Likely a Match If
• Tertiary qualifications in Risk Management, SHE or related discipline
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a risk or safety leadership position
• Solid experience in the execution of risk management frameworks including critical risk management
• Proven ability to work effectively with line management to build capability and safety leadership
• Solutions focussed, innovating thinking
• Strong relationship building skills
• The following qualifications are highly regarded:
• Training and Assessment Qualification (Certificate IV or higher)
• ICAM Lead Investigator Certification
• SHE Lead Auditor Certification
• Project Management Certification (Certificate IV or higher)
