Your role with Metcash
•    Define and deliver the enterprise-wide payroll strategy and operating model (circa 10k employees!)
•    Lead payroll governance, ensuring compliance with ATO, superannuation, payroll tax, awards and EBAs
•    Drive payroll transformation, automation and system optimisation
•    Provide oversight of end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
•    Lead, coach and build capability across the payroll and time & attendance teams
•    Act as the senior SME for payroll, advising stakeholders across P&C, Finance and leadership
•    Manage payroll risk, reporting and audit requirements at an enterprise level
•    Support M&A activity and business change initiatives from a payroll perspective
 
What You’ll Bring
•    Extensive payroll leadership experience in large, complex organisations
•    Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, compliance and governance frameworks
•    Proven experience driving payroll transformation, automation and system optimisation
•    Expertise and experience in payroll and related systems such as Chris21, Kronos or SuccessFactors
•    Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at senior levels
•    Commercial mindset with a focus on risk, controls and continuous improvement
•    Ability to interpret awards and EBAs and translate legislation into practical solutions
•    Demonstrated leadership capability with a passion for developing high-performing teams
