About the Opportunity
At Metcash, we’re on a mission to keep Australia’s supply chain moving efficiently—ensuring our independent retailers and communities receive the products they need, when they need them. Pallets may not always be in the spotlight, but they’re the backbone of our operations. And now, we’re looking for a National Pallet Controller to lead the charge in optimising our pallet management processes across the country.
This is more than just keeping track of pallets—it’s about leadership, innovation, and creating national standards that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen relationships across our network.

In this Role
- Mentor and guide State Pallet Coordinators, fostering collaboration and consistency across the network.
- Develop and implement national best practices for pallet management, ensuring alignment across all states.
- Serve as the business owner for pallet control systems, driving improvements and ensuring smooth functionality.
- Oversee daily checks, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensure seamless reconciliation of pallet accounts.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements, cost savings, and efficiency gains.
- Work closely with internal teams and trading partners to create a seamless and transparent pallet management system.

- An excellent communicator who can make the complex simple, both in verbal and written form.
