Love turning business opportunities into real results? Join Metcash and help shape the next chapter of our Primary Freight business. From building strategic partnerships to winning new business, you’ll drive growth, unlock commercial opportunities and turn potential into performance.

In this Role, You Will:

• Drive growth: Own the Primary Freight growth strategy and manage the pipeline from opportunity to conversion.
• Win new business: Lead end-to-end business development, from identifying opportunities to securing and onboarding new customers.
• Build winning solutions: Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders on RFPs, business modelling and tailored freight solutions.
• Unlock value: Identify opportunities that deliver commercial benefits, operational improvements and strategic partnerships.
• Be our ambassador: Build strong industry relationships and champion Metcash and Primary Freight in the market.

You’ll bring:

• 7+ years’ business development experience in FMCG, retail or supply chain.
• A proven track record of converting opportunities into sustainable business growth.
• Experience managing end-to-end sales cycles, RFPs and commercial proposals.
• Strong commercial acumen and an understanding of the Australian logistics landscape.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, a proactive mindset and the ability to turn strategy into action.
