About the Opportunity

As the Retail Standards Specialist, your goal is to champion quality, compliance, and operational efficiency across the state for our Food pillar. This role ensures stores consistently meet Metcash Channel Standards, Operational Excellence Programs (OEP), and Food Safety Audit (FSA) requirements. Acting as a compliance and capability partner to retailers, the role conducts store checks, provides coaching and training, and builds capability in execution.

In this Role

  • Support stores with channel standard compliance and monitor performance to identify systemic issues
  • Conduct detailed in-store reviews against Channel Standards, OEP, and FSA requirements
  • Provide education, coaching, and training to uplift retailer capability and compliance.
  • Follow up on failed OEPs and FSAs, working with retailers to address gaps.
  • Support adoption and training in the REFFS tool and other compliance systems.
  • Encourage retailer participation in required events and programs, coordinating nominations and submissions.
  • Capture and input store-level insights into CRM for Account Managers to support planning.

 

You’re Likely a Match If

  • Understanding of retail operations, merchandising, or field execution programs
  • Strong understanding of channel standards, food safety frameworks, and compliance processes
  • Experience in retail, grocery, or foodservice operations.
  • Background in compliance, auditing, or operational standards.
  • Strong communication and coaching skills.
  • Customer-focused with a collaborative approach.
