As a key part of the NSW Food and Liquor team, the State Logistics Manager is responsible for leading a large-scale Distribution Centre operation, delivering strong outcomes across safety, service, people and cost. Based in Huntingwood, this is a full-time permanent leadership opportunity where you will build high-performing teams, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to the national supply chain strategy while ensuring operational excellence across the site
In this Role
- Lead with purpose and safety first – create and sustain a strong safety culture where safe practices are embedded across all operations and teams
- Build and inspire a high-performing team – lead, coach and develop a workforce of 300+ to deliver results in a collaborative, engaging environment
- Own end-to-end logistics performance – drive operational excellence across warehousing, transport, and inventory to deliver best-in-class service and efficiency
- Deliver for our customers – ensure consistent, reliable service outcomes, achieving DIFOT and maintaining strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
- Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement – lead initiatives that enhance performance across people, process, systems, and 3PL partnerships
- Lead strategic planning and execution – develop and deliver business plans, workforce strategies, and budgets to ensure operational success and future readiness
- Manage performance and financial outcomes – take ownership of site P&L, monitor performance, close gaps, and optimise cost, safety and service outcomes
- Build strong partnerships across the business – collaborate with internal teams, 3PL providers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and service delivery
What are we looking for?
- Extensive logistics leadership experience – leading high-volume, fast-paced distribution environments with a proven track record of delivering safety, service and performance outcomes
- People-first leadership style – ability to build trust, uplift capability and create an inclusive, high-performing culture
- Experience leading at scale – successfully managing large, complex teams (300+), driving engagement, safety and performance excellence
- Strong operational and technical expertise – deep knowledge of warehouse operations, automation and systems (WMS, with TMS an advantage) to optimise performance
- Commercial and continuous improvement mindset – experience owning P&L, balancing cost and service, and driving ongoing operational improvements
