About the Opportunity

We’re on the lookout for a Two Warehouse Supervisors to oversee daily operations within our Huntingwood site. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead a dedicated warehouse team, manage inventory flow, and ensure all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

 

 Working Hours:

  • Core shifts run Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM or Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM – 12:00 PM
  • Occasional Saturday work may be required, but only on an as-needed basis

In this Role

  • Demonstrate strong leadership by setting clear expectations, supporting team development, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Take ownership of the shift, ensuring all warehouse functions including pick-pack, receiving, dispatch, and planning - are completed accurately, on time, and in line with Metcash’s standards and procedures
  • Promote a positive and inclusive team environment by providing hands-on training, regular feedback, and day-to-day support to ensure team members feel valued and empowered
  • Champion a safety-first mindset, ensuring all OHS protocols are followed, risks are identified early, and incidents are promptly reported and resolved
  • Drive operational excellence by identifying process improvements, implementing changes, and encouraging a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Manage daily workforce planning, ensuring optimal staffing levels and resource allocation to meet operational targets while maintaining team wellbeing
  • Oversee cost control measures, monitoring warehouse expenses and ensuring efficient use of resources to stay within budget

 

.You’re Likely a Match If  

  • Desired but not essential experience in FMCG, wholesale, distribution, or logistics environments, with a strong understanding of fast-paced operational demands; open for industries
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with a track record of managing teams, driving performance, and fostering a positive, accountable culture
  • Solid knowledge of OHS and HACCP regulations, and a proactive commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant workplace
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a collaborative approach to resolving challenges and improving processes
  • Proficiency with warehouse systems and technology, including WMS platforms, RF scanning, and inventory control tools
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
