Retail Purchasing Team Member (Katoomba)

About the role

Hudson Mitre 10 has an full-time opportunity to work with our great team at our Katoomba Store. The successful candidates will provide excellent customer service, must be motivated and be relied upon to work in a team environment and contribute to the performance of the store.  

What you’ll be doing:

• Owning all aspects of retail purchasing 
• Monitor and collate stock orders from each department
• Create and monitor all pool orders
• Work with internal departments to resolve customer order related issues
• Ordering special and seasonal order items
• Provide amazing customer support and service - hands on position on the shop floor

You’ll likely be a match if you have:

• A genuine desire to help people
• Initiative and time management skills
• High level of verbal and written communication skills
• Previous purchasing and stock management experience
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficient computer skills
• Previous experience in a trade environment and associated products (preferred but not essential)
• A strong focus and passion for OH&S
• Experience using POS (Point of Sale) Systems
