In this new role, we are looking for a Merchandise Business Development Manager to join on a 12month fixed term contract to work across the Charge Through Sorted platform & Fresh merchandise categories. You will be responsible for amplifying ranging, distribution and take up of distribution and promotional offers within the Victorian IGA network and other emerging channels, along with accelerating sign up and onboarding of retailers onto the Charge Through Sorted platform. 

 

What you’ll do

•    Accelerate state merchandise sales initiatives across Fresh categories and Charge Through Sorted – in field and via telesales
•    Maintain & grow existing customer relationships within the IGA network whilst focusing on developing other emerging channels (ie. specialised Fresh retailers)
•    Identify, develop and manage new business opportunities and areas of growth to increase sales across Fresh categories and Charge Through Sorted 
•    Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders 
•    Accountability for stretching State Sales and Income Budgets  

 

What you’ll bring

•    Min. 3+ year’s relevant industry experience (existing working relationships with Victorian Independent supermarket groups and single store operators would be an advantage)
•    Ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team 
•    Excellent communication (written and verbal) 
•    Collaboration and relationship building within a team environment 
•    Excellent planning, organization and time management skills
•    Exceptional influencing skills
•    Ability to identify and communicate commercial opportunities in a passionate and engaging way
•    Proven track record of exceeding customer service & sales expectations
•    MS Office suite proficient and ability to learn internal systems
•    Travel required (regional overnight stays)
