About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and customer-focused Trade Support Team Leader to join our team. Reporting into the Trade leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our Trade Account Managers (TAMs), Volume Builders and customers while leading a high-performing administration and sales support team.

This role is ideal for a strong people leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building relationships, and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service. You'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth coordination of trade administration, builder support, order management and supplier engagement, while driving continuous improvement across team processes and performance.

 

What You'll Be Doing

 

Team Leadership & Performance

  • Lead, coach and develop a customer-focused Trade Support team.
  • Manage daily team workflow and priorities to ensure service and performance targets are achieved.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative and high-performing team culture.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and customer outcomes.
  • Drive accountability, engagement and continuous improvement across the team.

 

Trade Account Manager & Builder Support

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to Trade Account Managers and Volume Builders.
  • Partner with TAMs to understand customer requirements and deliver exceptional service.
  • Prepare and manage customer and builder quotations and sales orders.
  • Convert quotations into sales orders within agreed timeframes.
  • Coordinate order scheduling and delivery requirements.
  • Liaise with builder supervisors to coordinate site deliveries and call-ups.
  • Maintain accurate customer data and records across relevant systems.
  • Update CRM records and ensure all customer interactions are documented appropriately.
  • Support the estimating process and manage plans through to completion.
  • Assist with reporting, data management and sales support activities.
  • Resolve customer issues and provide support in conflict resolution when required.
  • Attend builder and stakeholder meetings as needed.

 

Supplier & Purchasing Support

  • Liaise with suppliers to source information and manage product requirements.
  • Process and coordinate Special Order and Direct-to-Site (DTS) purchases.
  • Monitor supplier orders and follow up to ensure timely delivery.
  • Work closely with store teams to ensure products are receipted correctly.
  • Manage invoicing processes for special orders and DTS products.

 

Safety

  • Demonstrate and promote safe work practices at all times.
  • Contribute to a safe and healthy workplace for team members, customers and suppliers.

Technical Skills

 

Experience using:

  • Microsoft Excel and Word
  • CRM systems (Trade Profiler or similar)
  • ERP systems such as SYMPAC (highly regarded)
