About the role:

Metcash has an exciting opportunity for an Account Support Executive to join our Business Partnership division in Macquarie Park, NSW. Supporting the Account Management team your role will be to build business opportunities and manage key account relationships. The goal is to identify opportunities and convert these into sustainable results that meet business objectives.

What you’ll do:

The ideal candidate will have a background in managing large partnerships, ideally with advanced experience in customer service. We expect a reliable professional, able to achieve a balance between customer led insight/initiatives and Metcash objectives. This role will require excellent organisational skills and will suit a strong communicator as you will work closely with a number of internal and external stakeholder groups.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assist Account Managers with targeted client promotions, including Metcash system set up, whilst keeping track of associated inventory and calendar tasks
• Assist Account Manager with all relevant product set up, changes and communications to clients
• Create detailed business plans to facilitate the attainment of sales goals and quotas
• Provide professional account support to enhance customer engagement
• Remain in frequent contact with the clients to understand their needs and objectives
• Respond to complaints and resolve issues aiming to customer contentment and the preservation of the company’s reputation

What you’ll bring:

• Proven experience as an Account Executive, or in other sales/customer service roles
• Advanced Client relationship skills – able to deal with demanding Corporate clients in a calm and professional manner
• Knowledge of market research, sales and negotiating principles
• Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of CRM software (eg. Salesforce) is a plus
• Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships
• Enthusiastic and passionate
• Highly organized – with the ability to juggle multiple commitments and manage stakeholders by reacting quickly and with a results focus
• P&L, financial and business acumen skills with end to end business process awareness, coupled with a view to perpetual C.I.
