About the Opportunity

We’re looking for an Analytics Engineer to join our Enterprise Data & Analytics team (EDAA). This is your chance to design, build and operate enterprise-grade Power BI solutions that turn data into actionable insight for thousands of businesses across Australia.

This is a 12 months fixed-term role.

In this Role, You Will:

• Design, build and maintain end-to-end BI solutions: semantic models, Power BI datasets, dataflows, dashboards and deployment pipelines.

• Translate business needs into clean, reusable data models and self-service analytics layers.
• Engineer high-performance solutions using DAX, M and advanced optimisation tools.
• Partner with data engineers to define modern ingestion and transformation patterns (ADF/Synapse/Fabric).
• Ensure accuracy, governance and security (RLS/OLS) across enterprise datasets.
• Champion UI/UX excellence—from intuitive navigation to on-brand visual standards.
• Leverage AI-assisted features to accelerate development, insight generation and storytelling.
• (Senior level) Mentor teammates, set best practice standards, and lead initiatives spanning multiple domains.

You’re Likely a Match If You Have:

• Hands-on expertise in Power BI (DAX, Power Query/M) and strong SQL skills.

• A solid grasp of dimensional modelling, star schemas, and data warehouse design.
• Experience integrating with Azure Data Factory, Synapse or Fabric; knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps).
• Strong problem-solving skills—able to translate complex business challenges into elegant technical solutions.
• A portfolio of impactful, enterprise-ready BI solutions.
• (Bonus) Microsoft certifications in Power BI or Azure Data/Analytics.
