About the Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Change & Communications Manager roleon a 12mth fixed-term basis located in Macquarie Park.

 

The Change and Communications Manager is the driving force behind smooth transitions.  They ensure stakeholders, customers, and suppliers are engaged, while also assessing risks and readiness. Working across the Food Retail & Marketing and Supply Chain Portfolios, the focus will be on crafting effective strategies and plans to inform, prepare, and engage our people, ensuring seamless adoption and success in the new landscape. From communications to capability uplift, they're the champions of change. Reporting to the Senior Change and Communications Manager, this hands-on role plays a key part in delivering successful project outcomes through practical and strategic contributions.

 

In this Role

  • Drive awareness, desire, knowledge, ability, and reinforcement through tailored change management plans, minimizing resistance and maximizing engagement.
  • Implement impactful communications, training, and delivery to mitigate change risks effectively.
  • Develop comprehensive change collateral aligned with the Metcash Delivery Success approach, covering strategies, impact assessments, stakeholder engagement, and readiness processes.
  • Collaborate with the program team to design, develop, and deliver fit-for-purpose change activities, stakeholder engagement plans, targeted communications, and monitoring mechanisms.
  • Ensure seamless transition to business as usual (BAU) models, sustainability, and acceptance through robust transition plans and support.
  • Actively participate in the Delivery Success change cohort to maintain consistency and excellence in change management practices.

You’re Likely a Match If you have:

  • Previous experience in a change management role within complex project, program environments.
  • Comfortable working across white collar and blue-collar stakeholder groups
  • Change Management Qualifications and/or accreditations
  • Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques
  • Ability to connect and work alongside all levels within the program and broader organization
  • Strong collaborator with solid, writing, editing, and proofreading skills and experience in managing a variety of communication platforms using fit for purpose platforms/formats
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to set and communicate purpose and direction
  • Must be able to multitask and work well under pressure
