About the Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity to join Metcash as a Commercial Finance Analyst, to solely support the central IT team. This role will support with financial input and cost analysis in IT operations and projects.
***This role will be a fixed term contract, until July 2026***
In this Role
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Provide month-end financial reports, analyze results, and prepare annual budgets and forecasts, including variance analysis.
• Balance Sheet Accuracy: Ensure accuracy in balance sheet reconciliations.
• Account Management: Oversee hardware maintenance and software license accounts, ensuring timely payments and data accuracy.
• Collaboration with Account Managers: Work with account managers to ensure proper checks and reviews are done before requisitions and payments.
• IT Partnership & Cost Control: Collaborate with the IT team to deliver business outcomes while controlling costs.
• Process Improvement & Cost Visibility: Build cost models, offer recommendations for process improvements, and provide data analysis to identify cost drivers and improve operational efficiency.
You’re Likely a Match If
• You have tertiary qualifications in Accounting, CPA/CA qualified
• Hold a minimum 3 years of experience in a finance and cost analysis-based role
• Financial system experience: Microsoft Dynamics 365, Concur, TM1
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated initiative and ownership with a can-do attitude
• Ability to establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
• Ability to present to senior management with confidence
• Experience with IT infrastructure, software licenses and projects will be an advantage
