About the Opportunity 


We have an exciting opportunity to join Metcash as a Facilities Manager. This role will be responsible for the day-to-day matters across the Metcash portfolio of Industrial, Retail and Commercial properties.  
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, enjoys a high paced environment and has an ability to understand and close out facilities management matters and processes. Infrequent local travel is required, but the bulk of support is to be provided on a remote basis.

 

In this Role 

 

  • Lead day-to-day facilities management and compliance matters with accurate tracking
  • Reviewing leases to provide accurate direction to the site teams
  • Ensuring the timely and accurate close out of all facilities management matters
  • Understanding statutory responsibilities across different jurisdictions to ensure compliance obligations are met
  • Manage multiple issues across the portfolio with timely follow up
  • Assist in drafting and presenting reports to stakeholders
  • Support the Property Management team with facilities management advice
  • Assist in the development and stabilisation of the myBuildings platform
  • Contribute to the achievement of the Metcash sustainability targets

 

You’re Likely a Match If 

 

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a facilities role
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • A drive to succeed and to close out matters in a timely manner
  • Strong people skills and ability to develop relationships across the business
  • Strong technical knowledge / background, specifically experience with hard services
  • Analytical and strong reporting/tracking skills.
  • Solid experience dealing with Contractors, setting KPI’s and monitoring performance
  • Experience in implementing standardised maintenance programs at local/regional and national level
