About the Opportunity

 We have a fantastic opportunity for a Financial Reporting Accountant to join our team in Macquarie Park on a full-time basis.

This role will serve as a key contributor to financial reporting and technical accounting activities. Whilst also upholding the integrity of financial information and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of all periodic reporting requirements.

 

In this Role

  • Act as a key contributor to half-year and year-end processes, including preparation of consolidated financial statements, related analysis, and Audit, Risk & Compliance Committee papers.
  • Lead the preparation of monthly consolidated balance sheet and cash flow statements.
  • Research complex accounting issues and develop technical papers to support appropriate treatment for capital transactions.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data through month-end journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Manage AASB 16 lease accounting for the business, including month-end journals and budgeting activities.
  • Respond to day-to-day requests for financial information from various business units.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors, providing timely assistance as required.
  • Deliver ad-hoc projects and initiatives as assigned.

 

 

You’re Likely a Match If

  •  CA qualified (or equivalent professional accounting qualification).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience, preferably including external audit.
  • Proven experience in corporate environments and large group consolidation roles or clients.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and intermediate knowledge of other MS Office applications.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics or other large-scale accounting systems (advantageous).
  • Demonstrated analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Exposure to FMCG industry will be considered an advantage.
