About the Opportunity

We have a 4-month fixed term contract opportunity for a Graphic Designer to join the Australian Liquor Marketers (ALM) team at Metcash, based in Macquarie Park, NSW. In this role, you’ll contribute to the creation of engaging, on-brand visual assets across digital and print, working closely with a collaborative studio team of seven.

In this Role

  • Design visually engaging assets for digital and print – including catalogues, advertising, websites, packaging, and social media.
  • Maintain brand consistency across four major liquor brands.
  • Collaborate with marketing, content, and digital teams to deliver effective creative solutions.
  • Create designs optimised for digital platforms and devices.
  • Prepare print-ready artwork and liaise with vendors through to final production.
  • Edit and manipulate imagery to enhance overall visual quality.
  • Stay on top of design trends, techniques, and emerging tools.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

You’re Likely a Match If

  • Have 5+ years of experience in a graphic design role, ideally in retail.
  • Hold a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or have equivalent experience.
  • Are highly proficient in Mac OS and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Bring a strong aesthetic sense, keen attention to detail, and excellent layout and typography skills.
  • Communicate effectively, work collaboratively, and thrive in a team setting.
  • Can manage deadlines and shifting priorities with grace.

Bonus if you also have:

  • Experience with PageProof, Asana, animation (After Effects), or film editing (Premiere Pro).
  • Experience in the FMCG or liquor industry.
