About the Opportunity
We are seeking a creative Graphic Designer to join the Metcash Events team on a 12 month fixed term contract. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality digital and print assets that bring our events to life. You’ll work across conference materials, digital collateral, presentations, animations and data visualisation, ensuring brand consistency and strong visual impact.
In this fast‑paced events environment, you’ll translate complex briefs into designs that are both visually engaging and practical for real‑world event settings. The role offers a varied mix of design, art‑working and creative development across digital, web and print channels, including social media assets, microsites, sales and event materials!
In this Role
- Deliver best‑practice creative across digital design, animation and motion graphics, developing innovative solutions that enhance the delegate experience across Metcash events including trade shows, conferences, awards and gala dinners
- Design and produce high‑quality event collateral, including signage, conference materials, stage content, animations, branded environments, printed displays and awards materials
- Create engaging digital assets such as social media content, websites and microsites, ensuring consistency with brand and event themes
- Translate business objectives and creative briefs into visually compelling, practical design solutions that consider the end‑to‑end delegate experience
- Support the events team with the timely delivery of business‑as‑usual creative requirements in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
You’re Likely a Match If
- 3+ years’ experience in a graphic design role, ideally within an integrated marketing, events, creative studio or agency environment
- A strong portfolio demonstrating experience across digital, print and event‑based design, including campaign, conference or experiential work
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), with working knowledge of After Effects and Premiere Pro for animation and motion content; strong PowerPoint skills essential
- Proven ability to interpret creative briefs and translate business objectives into engaging, high‑quality design solutions
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organisational, time management and prioritisation skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with a consistent focus on quality and brand standards
