About the Opportunity 


We have an exciting opportunity to join Metcash in our brand-new role as Head of HR Systems, Data & Insights. This critical leadership role which has been created to drive, develop and lead our data & insights capabilities for our People & Culture team. 
Leading a small team, this role will combine technical expertise with strategic thinking, leadership and business partnering to drive data informed decisions and system enhancements across Metcash. 

 

In this Role 


•    HRIS (SuccessFactors) management & development – create & implement strategy, manage key vendors (SAP, Rizing).
•    Drive proactive system enhancements and data quality 
•    Develop robust stakeholder relationships with P&C leaders & specialists, IT, Payroll, Compliance and other business functions
•    Dashboards & reporting – implement self-service models to provide value-add information 
•    Develop data insights and predictive modelling to support decision making and initiatives 
•    People Management – lead small team of 3 specialists, driving performance and career development 

 

You’re Likely a Match If 

 

  • Previous success leading a data & insights team, managing large scale HR system enhancements, reports and dashboards
  • Storyteller – being able to translate complex data & insights clearly for stakeholders (data visualisation skills are crucial )
  • Proven experience in deriving people insights that have transformed a business strategy
  • Strategic thinker - ensuring alignment with our wider P&C priorities across all tasks
  • Exceptional organisational skills; ability to prioritise and meet multiple deadlines 
  • Exceptional communications skills, verbal, written and visual  
  • Ability to develop robust stakeholder relationships and operate as a key collaborator across business functions 
  • Technical expertise; SAP / SuccessFactors, Microsoft D365 and other HR systems 
  • Expertise with reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI or similar software

 

Experience within a fast-paced People & Culture / HR team in desirable. Industry experience across FMCG or retail is also advantageous.
