About the Opportunity
We’re seeking a dynamic Head of Strategic Sourcing to drive growth and innovation across our business. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies across all categories, with a strong focus on Private Label. You’ll build strategic supplier partnerships, deliver cost efficiencies, ensure quality and compliance, and champion innovation to create differentiated product offerings that enhance customer value and deliver strong commercial outcomes.

In this Role 
•    Lead Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business goals, with a strong focus on Private Label and Fresh categories.
•    Drive Innovation & Quality: Deliver initiatives that enhance product differentiation, quality, and compliance while supporting innovation.
•    Build Supplier Partnerships: Establish and maintain strategic supplier relationships to create long-term value and manage risk effectively.
•    Negotiate Commercial Outcomes: Lead complex negotiations to secure optimal terms on cost, quality, service levels, and sustainability.
•    Private Label Growth: Collaborate with Product Development and Brand teams to bring exclusive, high-quality products to market.
•    Fresh Category Leadership: Oversee sourcing for categories, optimizing models to reduce waste and support local sourcing and sustainability.
•    Commercial Excellence: Achieve cost savings and margin improvements through data-driven decisions and continuous process improvement.
•    Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Merchandise, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment on product specifications and performance.

You’re Likely a Match If
•    Proven experience in sales operations leadership within a complex, high-growth environment.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
•    Expertise in CRM systems and sales analytics tools to optimise performance.
•    Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
•    Ability to lead change and drive process improvements across teams.
•    Demonstrated commercial experience and 5 years of people leadership (teams of 10+), ideally within a major retailer.
