About the Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Learning & Development Coordinator to join our team based in Macquarie Park (Hybrid) on a full-time permanent basis.
The Learning & Development Coordinator plays a critical role in enabling the effective delivery and scale of Metcash’s learning and leadership development programs.
This role provides end-to-end coordination of enterprise learning initiatives, with a strong focus on operational excellence, learning platform administration and meaningful learning analytics.
The coordinator ensures leadership programs run smoothly at scale, learning data is accurate and actionable, and the Learning, Leadership & Talent (LLT) team spends less time on manual administration and more time delivering value to the business.
In this Role
Learning & Leadership Program Coordination
- Coordinate the operational delivery of enterprise learning and leadership programs end-to-end, including course setup, scheduling, registrations, facilitator support, communications, materials, and logistics
- Support the effective scaling of leadership programs by standardising processes, reducing manual workarounds, and proactively resolving operational issues
- Act as the first point of contact for participants, facilitators, and vendors for program-related queries, escalating issues where appropriate
- Coordinate program evaluations and participant feedback, supporting continuous improvement of learning offerings
- Support testing and implementation of new or updated learning programs within the LMS
LMS Administration & Embedment
- Act as a key point of contact for the Learning Management System, supporting day-to-day administration and ongoing embedment across the business
- Configure and maintain learning items, learning plans, enrolments, audiences, and completion tracking within the LMS
- Support the induction and onboarding learning experience for new starters and managers
- Partner with P&C stakeholders to build confidence and capability in using the LMS effectively and consistently
- Identify opportunities to improve LMS processes, data quality, and user experience as adoption matures
Reporting & Learning Analytics
- Produce regular and ad-hoc learning reports using LMS data and Excel to support decision-making by leaders and P&C
- Ensure learning data is accurate, timely, and presented in a clear, practical format that stakeholders can understand and act on
- Support reporting for leadership programs, compliance requirements, and capability initiatives
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting templates, dashboards, and processes
Budget & Vendor Support
- Support the Learning & Development Manager with budget tracking and administration
- Manage learning-related invoicing and payments via SAP, maintaining accurate records and timely processing
- Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to support learning delivery and program operations
Internal Communications & Team Support
- Manage the L&D inbox, responding to level 1 queries and triaging more complex requests
- Work with internal communications and design partners to support learning promotions and program communications
- Collaborate closely with learning consultants, other coordinators, and P&C colleagues to ensure aligned and consistent ways of working
Project & Continuous Improvement Work
- Support learning-related projects, including system enhancements, process improvements, and new program launches
- Identify opportunities to streamline administration, reduce rework, and improve the overall learner and facilitator experience
You’re Likely a Match If
- Strong coordination, planning, and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
- High level of Excel capability (or equivalent) for reporting, analysis, and data manipulation
- Confidence working with learning systems and digital tools (LMS experience essential)
- Clear, practical communication skills with a strong customer-service mindset
- Attention to detail balanced with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt in a changing environment
- Experience in a learning, HR, or capability coordination role within a medium to large matrix style organisation
- Hands-on experience administering a Learning Management System (ideally Docebo or similar)
- Experience supporting reporting and analytics in a learning or people function
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders, vendors, and competing deadlines
