About the Opportunity
We have a fantastic opportunity to join Metcash as a Master Data Administrator who is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of product master data across Metcash systems. The Master Data Administrator is essential in supporting Merchandise and State teams by efficiently processing product data requests, upholding governance standards, and enabling seamless business operations. The role requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to data quality, and effective collaboration with stakeholders to ensure product information is reliable, compliant and up to date.
In this Role
- Process product requests accurately and within agreed service level agreements (SLAs), including new line setups, pricing changes, pack changes, and product amendments.
- Maintain and update product master data across all relevant systems, ensuring compliance with Metcash data governance policies and standards.
- Monitor data quality and proactively identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies or errors.
- Respond promptly to stakeholder queries and requests, providing clear, professional, and solution-focused communication.
- Collaborate with Merchandise and State teams to deliver high-quality data support and guidance.
- Uphold master data policies, processes, and governance frameworks to ensure all data changes meet compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data management processes, tools, and reporting to drive efficiency, accuracy, and business value.
You’re Likely a Match If
- Experience in the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industry is highly desirable, particularly in roles involving data entry, product setup, or supply chain processes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-centric approach and the ability to build effective relationships across diverse teams.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high data integrity and accuracy.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), and experience with enterprise systems such as SAP, JDE, or similar platforms is advantageous
