About the Opportunity

Join Metcash as our National Relationship Manager – AUR  and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of independent retail!

 

We’re partnering with Australian United Retailers (AUR) - the powerhouse behind iconic brands like FoodWorks, Farmer Jacks, Foodstore, Go Grocer, Greener Grocer, and LiquorWorks.

 

In this influential role, you’ll be the key link between Metcash and AUR, driving collaboration and delivering on strategic service agreements. You’ll resolve challenges swiftly, identify growth opportunities, and champion retailer success. Working across internal teams, you’ll ensure operational excellence and unlock commercial value for the network.

 

In this Role

  • Build trusted partnerships with AUR leadership to drive commercial success and strengthen network performance
  • Represent AUR in senior Metcash forums and cross-functional strategy sessions, advocating for retailer outcomes and commercial excellence
  • Lead national program execution and reporting (e.g., PLIP, PRR, AUR stock allocations, expos) to ensure consistent uptake and performance across the network
  • Champion cross-dock execution and allocation planning with Distribution Centres to optimise supply and service performance
  • Drive logistics and supply chain excellence between AUR stores and Metcash, resolving operational issues swiftly at state and MSO levels
  • Oversee operational governance and compliance, including AR processes, pricing setups (tax defaults, MDG codes, EPPs), data accuracy (OBSL), and interim pricing
  • Own commercial integrity and compliance frameworks, enforcing supply agreements (free delivery, Allocations/TIO, AUR Stock), audits, rebates, EWW payments, and fee structures
  • Coordinate national engagement and representation, including tradeshows/expos and retailer participation, building strong relationships with AUR executives and retailer groups

 

You’re Likely a Match If  

  • Strong commercial acumen and proven supplier negotiation skills
  • Strategic thinking with exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing ability
  • Demonstrated experience in supplier and stakeholder relationship management
  • Advanced communication and issue resolution skills
  • Deep capability in reporting, compliance, and data integrity
  • Excellent prioritisation skills with a focus on delivering quality results
